Rocmec Mining
Properties
Rocmec’s holdings are located in the Abitibi–Témiscamingue region of the Province of Quebec, Canada. This region of the Canadian Shield lies on a volcanic rock formation dating back to the Precambrian Age (over 500 million years ago). Gold and copper bearing rocks date back some 2.2 billion years. The Canadian Shield is the largest and one of the oldest most stable regions of the earth's crust. It is divided into seven tectonic provinces, of which, the Superior, located south of Val d’Or is characterized by a major dislocation in the earth’s crust. The resulting geological fault stretches over 170 kilometres in a west-east direction and is host to the richest mineral deposits in Quebec.
Rocmec currently owns 100% interests in five properties and has begun discussions with a number of participants regarding the acquisition of additional properties.
